HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Julie A.
4Brady of St. Charles, who passed away on April 4, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Julie Brady was born on July 14, 1962 at the Great
6Lakes Naval Base in Waukegan to Donald and Barbara (nee Ziehen)
7Blink and grew up in Antigo, Wisconsin; she graduated from
8Antigo High School in 1980; after high school, she graduated
9with a degree in Biology from St. Norbert College in 1984 with
10high honors, and, in 1991, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from
11the University of Wisconsin Law School; she married Pat Brady
12on June 8, 1996; and
 
13    WHEREAS, After graduation from law school, Julie Brady
14served as a trial attorney in the Honors Program of the Tax
15Division of the United States Department of Justice where she
16investigated and prosecuted complex tax and white-collar
17federal criminal offenses in a variety of jurisdictions
18throughout the country; she also worked as an attorney in the
19Class Action Unit of the Legal Department at State Farm
20Insurance Companies in Bloomington, and most recently, she
21worked as a Special Assistant in the Executive Office of the
22Cook County Sheriff; and

1    WHEREAS, Julie Brady was also involved with politics
2including: efforts on John McCain's Presidential Campaign in
32008, as well as political work with U.S. Representative Rodney
4Davis and U.S. Representative John Shimkus; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Julie Brady's most valued roles were that of
6dedicated wife and mother to her children; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Julie Brady is survived by her husband, Pat; 4
8children, Maeve, Kelly, Patrick, and Grace; and 3 brothers, Dr.
9Jeffrey Blink, Brian Blink, and David Blink; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we mourn the passing of Julie A. Brady, and extend our sincere
13condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
14her; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Julie Brady as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
