AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 649

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 649, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
41, on page 3, by replacing lines 13 through 19 with the
5following:
 
6    "(225 ILCS 732/1-23 new)
7    Sec. 1-23. Permitting timeframe. Notwithstanding any other
8provision of law, high volume horizontal fracturing operations
9shall only be allowed under this Act:
10        (1) at well sites located in the counties of Alexander,
11    Bond, Calhoun, Christian, Clark, Clay, Clinton, Coles,
12    Crawford, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Edwards, Effingham,
13    Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin
14    Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jersey, Johnson, Lawrence,
15    Macoupin, Madison, Marion, Massac, Monroe, Montgomery,
16    Moultrie, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Richland,
17    Saline, Shelby, St. Clair, Union, Wabash, Washington,

1    Wayne, White, or Williamson; and
2        (2) on or after a period of one year after the
3    effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General
4    Assembly, in the counties of Adams, Boone, Brown, Bureau,
5    Carroll, Cass, Champaign, DeWitt, Ford, Fulton, Hancock,
6    Henderson, Henry, Iroquois, Jo Daviess, Knox, La Salle,
7    Lee, Livingston, Logan, Macon, Marshall, Mason, McDonough,
8    McLean, Menard, Mercer, Morgan, Ogle, Peoria, Piatt, Pike,
9    Putnam, Rock Island, Sangamon, Schuyler, Scott, Stark,
10    Stephenson, Tazewell, Vermilion, Warren, Whiteside,
11    Winnebago, or Woodford.".
