SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Raymond W. Wells of Waukegan, who passed
4away on March 8, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was born on April 16, 1922, in
6Antioch; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was a union carpenter for Ames
8Brothers in Waukegan for 30 years and upon his retirement
9managed Grand Avenue Shopping Center in Waukegan; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was a member of the First United
11Methodist Church; he enjoyed dancing, bowling, horseshoes, and
12woodworking, and was a avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox
13fan; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was preceded in death by his wife of
1549 years, Shirley; his daughters, Marilyn and Cherlyn; his
16brothers, Howard and Arthur; and his sisters, Lillian, Ruth,
17and Shirley; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Raymond Wells was the beloved father of Roger
19(Linda), Russell (Kathleen), Bruce, and Carolyn (Peter)
20Dorhout; the loving grandfather of Kristin, Kevin, Melissa

1(Scott), Rachel, Aimee (Justin) Jacquelyn, and Kathryn; the
2dear great-grandfather of Adam and Tyler; and the loving
3brother of Virginia Magiera, Warren (Ruth), and Richard;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Raymond Wells, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Raymond Wells as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
