SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William Edward Tegtmeier of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away on January 11, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was born on October 23, 1924 in
6Crystal Lake; his parents were Charles and Bertha Tegtmeier; he
7married Shirley Ann Pletz on August 10, 1946 in McHenry; and
 
8    WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier proudly served his country as a
9sergeant in the United States Marine Corps' 1st Division,
10receiving a Purple Heart for his service in the South Pacific;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was a member of the Operating
13Engineers Local 150 union; he worked for Peter Baker and Sons
14for 30 years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier was preceded in death by his
16wife of 66 years, Shirley; his daughter, Georgia Lee; his
17parents; his sister, Alice Ragona; and his brother, Fred
18Tegtmeier; and
 
19    WHEREAS, William Tegtmeier is survived by his children,
20Ginger Sebastian, William (Cindy) Tegtmeier, Paula (Bruce

1Cavoti) Tegtmeier, and Marcy Ann Tegtmeier; his grandchildren,
2John William (Heather) Veugeler, Megan Ann Veugeler, Kim
3Tegtmeier, Gabe Romero, and Caleb, Cora, and Anna Schwan; and
4his great-grandchildren, Jason, Jacob, Sierra, and Summer
5Siebert, Lauren and Michael Veugeler, and Austin Romero;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of William Edward
10Tegtmeier; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of William Tegtmeier as an expression
13of our sympathy.
