SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dovie Ann Anderson, who passed away on
4February 24, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was born in Saltillo, Mississippi
6on July 29, 1931 to Dr. James and Annie (nee Tolbert) Wilson;
7and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was a dedicated employee at Signal
9for 30 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was a member of Johnson Chapel, and
11later she joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson was preceded in death by her
13parents; her husband, Charles; her daughter, Murlean Seals; her
14sisters, Lucy and Welzanna; and her brothers, Cecil and
15Augustus; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dovie Anderson is survived by her children,
17Ronald, Steve (Chryl), Barry, Donald, and Chuckie Anderson; her
18grandchildren, Terrance and Verna Sutton, Rolien and Kenya
19Seals, Chardelle Seals, Ronald and Tosha Anderson, Maurice and
20Michelle Jones, Steven and Billie Anderson, and Amber Anderson;

1her great-grandchildren, Raeshawn Seals, Teja Sutton, Romelo
2Seals, Haley Anderson, Maxwell and Malcolm Jones, and Dakari
3Charles Anderson; her great-great-grandchild, Christopher Eli
4Seals; her brothers, James (Lois) Wilson, Ben (Sherrie) Wilson,
5and Joe (Lola) Wilson; her sister, Ozema Knight; her
6brother-in-law, Lecester (Jack) Hodges; and Trannie Wilson;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Dovie Ann Anderson, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Dovie Anderson as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
