SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Margie L. Schieler of Bunker Hill, who
4passed away on December 10, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Margie Schieler was born in Alton on June 24, 1935
6to Bill and Marie Wilken; she married Melvin Schieler on May
710, 1957 in Alton; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Margie Schieler worked for Owens - Illinois glass
9works; she then went to work at Schnucks grocery store in Alton
10as a checker for over 15 years; after retirement, Margie and
11her husband started their own business, 4-M Greenhouses, in
12Bunker Hill; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Margie Schieler was a member of St. John's United
14Church of Christ in Midway, where she was involved in various
15church activities; she also helped with the Bunker Hill food
16pantry; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Margie Schieler was preceded in death by her
18parents, and by her sister, Elsie; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Margie Schieler is survived by her husband,
20Melvin; her daughter, Michelle (Charlie) Wolff; her son, Mark

1Schieler; her 3 grandchildren, Meghan, Rachel, and Luke Wolff;
2and her 2 brothers, Dan Wilken and Bob (Diane) Wilken;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Margie L. Schieler, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Margie Schieler as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
