SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wesley H. Kistler of Savoy, who passed
4away on October 31, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler was born on October 16, 1924 in
6Scobey, Montana; his parents were Rev. Ernest and Mary Case
7Kistler; he married Alice Jacobs in March of 1954; they later
8divorced; he later married Jean Bradley Long on November 24,
91984; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler served his country as a purser in
11the United States Merchant Marine during World War II; he also
12served as a weather observer and forecaster in the United
13States Navy during the Korean War; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler retired from the United States
15Postal Service in Urbana after many years of service; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler was a member of the St. Joseph
17United Methodist Church; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler enjoyed music, dancing, sailing,
19and the outdoors; and

1    WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler was preceded in death by his wife,
2Jean; his brother, Dale Kistler; and his sister, Genevieve
3Arms; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler is survived by his sons, Paul
5Kistler and Douglas Kistler; his daughter, Nancy Kistler; his
6stepdaughters, Jody Benitz, Wendy Mays, and Cherie Craft; his
7grandchildren, Chelsey, Courtney, Erin, and Sarah; his
8step-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Brennan, Katie, and Hayden;
9his great-grandchild, Noah; and his brother-in-law, Dean
10Bradley; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Wesley H. Kistler; and
14be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Wesley Kistler as an expression of
17our sympathy.
