SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Arthur William Kuhlman of Hebron, who
4passed away on October 25, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman was born in Bensenville to Arthur
6and Rose (Reetz) Kuhlman on May 20, 1933; he worked on the
7family farm with his parents and brothers until he joined the
8United States Army in 1953; he was stationed in Fort Lewis in
9Washington; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman returned to the family farm in
111955; he married the love of his life, Marlene Miller, on June
1213, 1959; they settled in Hebron; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman enjoyed spending time with his
14family, woodworking, bowling, golfing, and his garden; he had a
15knack for fixing just about anything; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Arthur Kuhlman is survived by his wife of 57
17years, Marlene Kuhlman; his daughters, LeAnne (James) Bigelow,
18and Laurel (David) Tenhagen; his grandchildren, Daniel and
19Jason Bigelow, and Landon, Taylor, and Alex Tenhagen; his
20brothers, Ray (Irene) Kuhlman, and Marvin Kuhlman; his
21brother-in-law, Donald Miller; his sister-in-law, Alice

1Evenson; his nephew, Troy Evenson; and his nieces, Sue (Mark)
2Hrodey, Diane (Jim) Finnerty, Karen (Brad) Magnani, Tracy
3(Latham) Lewis, Teri Evenson, Mary Miller, and Michelle Walsh;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Arthur William Kuhlman, and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Arthur Kuhlman as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
