Synopsis As Introduced
Proposes, under Article V, Section 11 of the Illinois Constitution, to abolish: Agrichemical Facility Response Action Program Board, Air Service Commission I-FLY, Board of Aeronautical Advisors, Commission on Children and Youth, Children's Hearing Services Advisory Committee, Children's Saving Account Task Force, Children's Vision Services Advisory Committee, Cord Blood Stem Cell Banks Advisory Committee, Electronic Health Records Task Force, Family Practice Residencies Advisory Committee, Grape and Wine Resources Council, Illinois Food Systems Policy Council, Interagency Coordinating Committee on Transportation, Illinois Local and Organic Food and Farm Task Force, Manufactured Home Quality Assurance Board, Newborn Eye Pathology Advisory Committee, Offshore Wind Energy Economic Development Task Force, Revenue Commission for Community Services, and Sorry Works! Pilot Program Committee. Provides that, to the extent authorized by law and required to facilitate the termination of the administration of an abolished entity, the functions, duties, rights, responsibilities, and, to the extent they exist, books, records, and unexpended balances of appropriations or funds related to each abolished entity shall be transferred to the Department of Central Management Services or an appropriate agency designated by the Governor's Office. Terminates the terms of members appointed to the abolished entities. Contains provisions regarding: inconsistent laws; savings; further action; prior executive orders; severability; filings; and other matters. Provides that, if neither house of the General Assembly disapproves the Executive Order, the Executive Order takes effect 60 days after its delivery to the General Assembly.
