Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
55 ILCS 5/1-1001from Ch. 34, par. 1-1001
Adds reference to:
35 ILCS 200/20-10
35 ILCS 200/20-15

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that a municipality with a population of more than 100,000 but less than 1,000,000 may enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the county in which the municipality is situated to provide that the county collector shall include with the property tax bill for each parcel of property within the municipality an invoice for municipal service charges for the disposal of garbage, refuse, or ashes. Provides that municipality shall furnish the invoices to the county collector not less than 15 days before the tax bill is mailed to the property owner and may reimburse the county collector for any necessary expenses associated with mailing the invoices as provided in the agreement.
