Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Deletes language providing that all money in the Hospice Fund shall be paid to the Department of Public Health for distribution as grants for hospice services and that the Director of Public Health shall adopt rules for distribution of these grants. Adds language providing that all money in the Hospice Fund shall be paid as grants to the Illinois Hospice & Palliative Care Organization for specified purposes and that the Illinois Hospice & Palliative Care Organization shall distribute grant moneys through a standing committee that reviews funding solicitations and awards.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that moneys in the Hospice Fund shall be paid as grants to a statewide organization whose primary membership consists of hospice programs (rather than to the Illinois Hospice & Palliative Care Organization).
