325 ILCS 5/4

Requires the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to accept continuing education credit for mandated reporter training on how to recognize and report child abuse offered by the Department of Children and Family Services and completed by any person who holds a professional license issued by the Department and who is a mandated reporter under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act (rather than requiring the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to give continuing education credit for mandated reporter training to any person who holds a professional license issued by the Department and who is required under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act to complete mandated reporter training by a provider or agency with expertise in recognizing and reporting child abuse). Removes amendatory changes made to the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act providing that within one year of initial employment and at least every 5 years thereafter, any person who is employed in a profession or occupation licensed by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and who is required to report child abuse as provided under the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act must complete mandated reporter training by a provider or agency with expertise in recognizing and reporting child abuse.
