Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that no product that combines beer or any other alcoholic liquor with caffeine, guarana, taurine, or other similar substances that are commonly referred to as "alcohol energy drinks" may be imported into the State or produced, manufactured, distributed, sold, or offered for sale in this State by a licensee under the Act.

Adds reference to:
235 ILCS 5/6-11

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934. Provides that nothing shall prohibit the issuance or renewal of a license authorizing the sale of alcoholic liquor at a premises that is located within a municipality with a population in excess of 1,000,000 and within 100 feet of a specified (i) church, (ii) school, or (iii) mosque if certain specified criteria are met. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Provides that nothing shall prohibit the issuance or renewal of a license authorizing the sale of alcoholic liquor at a premises that is located within a municipality with a population in excess of 1,000,000 and within 100 feet of a specified school if certain specified criteria are met.
