Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Deletes reference to:
230 ILCS 10/1
Adds reference to:
230 ILCS 10/12from Ch. 120, par. 2412
230 ILCS 10/13from Ch. 120, par. 2413

Deletes everything. Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act. Increases the admission tax to $4 per person admitted by a licensee that admitted 2,300,000 or fewer persons in the previous calendar year and $5 per person admitted by a licensee that admitted more than 2,300,000 persons in the previous calendar year. Increases the wagering tax from July 1, 2003 until the earlier of (1) July 1, 2005; (2) the first date after the effective date of this amendatory Act that riverboat gambling operations are conducted pursuant to a dormant license, or (3) the first day that riverboat gambling operations are conducted under the authority of an owners license that is in addition to the 10 owners licenses initially authorized under the Act. Provides that the additional wagering tax revenues shall be paid into the Common School Fund. Effective immediately.
