Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Toll Highway Act. Adds public or private ambulance vehicles that are plainly marked to the list of vehicles not required to pay a toll to use a toll highway.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Toll Highway Act. Provides that a public or private ambulance service that is plainly marked and engaged in the performance of an emergency service or duty that necessitates the use of the toll highway system shall not be required to pay a toll to use a toll highway. Provides that ambulances that are not plainly marked must present an Official Permit Card in order to use the toll highway system without paying tolls. Provides that the Authority shall adopt rules for the issuance of the permit. Removes language limiting the issuance of a permit to vehicles that are not plainly marked.
