Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the general purposes of the Code.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
720 ILCS 5/1-2
Adds reference to:
725 ILCS 120/4.5

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Rights of Crime Victims and Witnesses Act. Provides that when law enforcement authorities re-open a closed case to resume investigating, they shall provide notice of the re-opening of the case, except where the State's Attorney determines that disclosure of such information would unreasonably interfere with the investigation.
