Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Quasi-criminal and Misdemeanor Bail Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning guilty pleas.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Quasi-criminal and Misdemeanor Bail Act. Eliminates the circuit court's uniform schedule prescribing the amounts of fines, penalties, forfeitures, and costs on pleas of guilty in specified minor conservation and traffic offenses. Provides that in any case which does not require a court appearance under Supreme Court Rule, upon a plea of guilty the amounts of fines, fees, costs, and penalties for the offense shall be in the amount mandated by statute or by local ordinance enacted pursuant to statute. Provides that no rule or order of the Supreme Court shall alter these amounts.
