Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Personnel Code. Provides that employees of the Sentencing Policy Advisory Council are exempt from the provisions of the Code. Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Expands the membership of the Council. Effective immediately.

730 ILCS 5/5-8-8

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with changes. Provides that retired judges who are appointed to the Illinois Sentencing Advisory Council shall be appointed by the Chief Justice of the Illinois Supreme Court. Requires the Council to submit its report to the Illinois Supreme Court. Effective immediately.
