Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Provides that no person shall sell, deliver, offer for sale, hold for sale, or give away any synthetic meat unless the package, container, or wrapping bears, in font of uniform size and prominence, the words "synthetic meat" so as to be readable and understood by the general public. Defines "synthetic meat" as animal flesh that is produced from progenitor cells in a bioreactor.
