Synopsis As Introduced
Urges that (1) the United States government immediately commence an orderly and rapid withdrawal of United States military personnel from Iraq, (2) the United States government provide the people of Iraq with all necessary non-military material aid as shall be necessary for the security of Iraq's citizens and for the rebuilding of Iraq, and (3) the financial resources used to prosecute the war be redirected to address the urgent needs of America and the most vulnerable portions of our population, including health, education, and homeland security.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything. Resolves that the Senate believes that it is not in the national interest of the U.S. to deepen its military involvement in Iraq.
