HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
4Bloomingdale Township Clerk Joyce Hundhausen, who passed away
5on December 24, 2019; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Joyce Hundhausen was appointed to the township
7clerk's post in 2016 and won election to the seat a year later;
8previously, she served as a township trustee for 15 years,
9winning her first term in 2001; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joyce Hundhausen moved to Carol Stream with her
11family in 1984 and was active in Republican political
12activities; she served on the Carol Stream planning and zoning
13board and as Bloomingdale Village President Franco
14Coladipietro's legislative aide when he served in Springfield
15as a state representative; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joyce Hundhausen was the legislative chair for the
17Glendale Heights Junior Women's Club and a member of the
18Roselle, Bloomingdale, Glendale Heights, Carol Stream, and
19Hanover Park Chambers of Commerce; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Joyce Hundhausen will be remembered for her warm
21personality and lifetime of charitable outreach; a cancer

1survivor, she organized multiple fundraisers for the American
2Cancer Society; she enjoyed giving back to the community
3through charitable endeavors as well as her public service; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Joyce Hundhausen was preceded in death by her
5husband, William; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Joyce Hundhausen is survived by a daughter; a
7brother; a sister, and her mother; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
9HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
10we mourn the passing of Bloomingdale Township Clerk Joyce
11Hundhausen and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
12friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Joyce Hundhausen as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
