HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, At the age of four, Tyler Sliz of Libertyville learned through his church about an organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace, which helps build, assemble, and deliver bunk beds to children and families in need; and

WHEREAS, Shortly before turning five in October of 2019, Tyler Sliz asked that guests to his birthday party bring pieces of bedding instead of gifts so that he could donate it to Sleep in Heavenly Peace; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Sliz's party guests brought bags of bedding sets, blankets, pillows, and sheets, and he used the money he received from two partygoers to buy more bedding; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Sliz has already donated over one hundred pieces of bedding but has no plans of stopping his efforts; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we commend Tyler Sliz on his thoughtful actions and thank him for his commitment to helping others; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Tyler Sliz as an expression of respect and esteem.
