HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Maria Delgado on being a finalist for the hotel industry's "Stars of the Industry Award"; and

WHEREAS, Maria Delgado is a room attendant at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont and was a finalist in the North Star Award category at the American Hotel & Lodging Association's Stars of the Industry Awards on January 27, 2019; she was one of the top three finalists to be recognized from over 300 nominations from all sections of the industry and across the country; the award is given to a non-management level associate who makes a significant difference day in and day out in the hospitality business; and

WHEREAS, Prior to her recent honor, Maria Delgado received the 2017 Illinois Housekeeping Employee of the Year at the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association Stars of the Industry State Awards in December 2017; and

WHEREAS, Maria Delgado has an impeccable work ethic and treats her hotel as her home and coworkers as her family; she has not missed a day of work in her 32 years of employment with Hyatt and is truly the heart of Hyatt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Maria Delgado of Chicago on being a finalist for the hotel industry's "Stars of the Industry Award", and we wish her many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Maria Delgado as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
