SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Johnny D. Wilson of Clay City, who passed away on March 19, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Wilson was born in 1935; Johnny married Betty L. (Douglas) Newby in Bluford on May 31, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Wilson was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; and

WHEREAS, Johnny Wilson is survived by his wife; his sons, Maurice, William II, Herbert, Johnny Jr., Michael, and Mark Newby; his 14 grandchildren; his 12 great-grandchildren; his sister, Frances; and his brothers, Frank and James; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Johnny D. Wilson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Johnny Wilson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
