SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Doris Mae Drea of Springfield, who passed away on March 19, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Doris Drea was born in Pawnee to Jesse and Hazel (Burt) Reynolds on December 15, 1931; she married Edward "Babe" Drea on June 20, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Doris Drea was employed for many years by the Taylorville Community Schools and as a teacher's aide at Cathedral Grade School in Springfield; and

WHEREAS, Doris Drea was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and the Taylorville VFW Auxiliary; and

WHEREAS, Doris Drea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; her brothers, Milo and Robert "Bob" Reynolds; and her great-grandson, Cameron Blome; and

WHEREAS, Doris Drea is survived by her children, Edward J. (Lori) Drea, Tama L. (Joe) Kuznik, and Timothy E. (Elizabeth) Drea; her grandchildren, Trevor (Leah) Blome, Tiffany (Jason) Smith, Brandon, Bradley, Andrew, Bridget, Lillian, and Jack Drea; her great-grandchildren, Gavin, Griffin, and Ali Blome and Mason and Tyson Smith; her brother, Michael (Marilyn) Reynolds; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Doris Mae Drea and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Doris Drea as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
