SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Michael J. "Mike" Wildman of Monticello,
4who passed away on April 1, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was born in Decatur to Roger L. and
6Phyllis (Huffmaster) Wildman on June 17, 1960; he graduated
7from Sullivan High School in 1978, where he participated in
8golf, baseball, football, and basketball; his senior year he
9participated in the Illinois High School Association state
10basketball tournament in Champaign; he graduated from Purdue
11University in 1982 and married Dawn Vannice in August of 1982;
12he married Ann Power at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign
13on June 16, 1990; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a department head for The Home
15Depot; he served as Monticello Township Supervisor; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a member of the National Rifle
17Association, the Purdue Alumni Association, the Piatt County
18Republican Party, and St. Philomena Catholic Church in
19Monticello; he enjoyed golfing, building models, and watching
20old Westerns; he was a sports fan and an avid fan of the
21Illini; he was also a history buff; he coached all his children
22in youth sports and enjoyed watching them grow in whatever they

1did; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was preceded in death by his first
3wife, Dawn; his father; and his grandparents; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Mike Wildman is survived by his wife, Ann Power
5Wildman; his children, Patrick, Katherine, and Brandon; his
6mother, Phyllis Wildman; and his brother, Chris Wildman;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Michael J. "Mike" Wildman and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Mike Wildman as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
