SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael J. "Mike" Wildman of Monticello, who passed away on April 1, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was born in Decatur to Roger L. and Phyllis (Huffmaster) Wildman on June 17, 1960; he graduated from Sullivan High School in 1978, where he participated in golf, baseball, football, and basketball; his senior year he participated in the Illinois High School Association state basketball tournament in Champaign; he graduated from Purdue University in 1982 and married Dawn Vannice in August of 1982; he married Ann Power at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign on June 16, 1990; and

WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a department head for The Home Depot; he served as Monticello Township Supervisor; and

WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was a member of the National Rifle Association, the Purdue Alumni Association, the Piatt County Republican Party, and St. Philomena Catholic Church in Monticello; he enjoyed golfing, building models, and watching old Westerns; he was a sports fan and an avid fan of the Illini; he was also a history buff; he coached all his children in youth sports and enjoyed watching them grow in whatever they did; and

WHEREAS, Mike Wildman was preceded in death by his first wife, Dawn; his father; and his grandparents; and

WHEREAS, Mike Wildman is survived by his wife, Ann Power Wildman; his children, Patrick, Katherine, and Brandon; his mother, Phyllis Wildman; and his brother, Chris Wildman; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael J. "Mike" Wildman and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mike Wildman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
