SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph B. "Joe" Reedy of East Moline, who passed away on April 1, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Joe Reedy was born in Rock Island to Joseph and Margaret Wilson Reedy on April 28, 1950; he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict; he married Pamela D. Willemarck in Rock Island on September 25, 1976; and

WHEREAS, Joe Reedy served as a police officer for the City of East Moline and retired in 2006 after over 32 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Joe Reedy had been active in several service organizations; and

WHEREAS, Joe Reedy was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Justin; and

WHEREAS, Joe Reedy is survived by his wife, Pam; his son, Travis Reedy; his siblings, Michael (Diane) Reedy, Mary Piper, Ed (Laura) Reedy, Patrick Kevin (Shannon) Reedy, Eileen (David) Meyer, Christine Herschberger, Tom (Denise) Reedy, Terry Sawyer, Diane Anderson, Jackie Flack, Randy Reedy, and Patrick Neal Reedy; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Joseph B. "Joe" Reedy and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joe Reedy as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
