SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph B. "Joe" Reedy of East Moline, who
4passed away on April 1, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Reedy was born in Rock Island to Joseph and
6Margaret Wilson Reedy on April 28, 1950; he served in the
7United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict; he
8married Pamela D. Willemarck in Rock Island on September 25,
91976; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joe Reedy served as a police officer for the City
11of East Moline and retired in 2006 after over 32 years of
12service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joe Reedy had been active in several service
14organizations; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Joe Reedy was preceded in death by his parents and
16his son, Justin; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Joe Reedy is survived by his wife, Pam; his son,
18Travis Reedy; his siblings, Michael (Diane) Reedy, Mary Piper,
19Ed (Laura) Reedy, Patrick Kevin (Shannon) Reedy, Eileen (David)
20Meyer, Christine Herschberger, Tom (Denise) Reedy, Terry

1Sawyer, Diane Anderson, Jackie Flack, Randy Reedy, and Patrick
2Neal Reedy; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Joseph B. "Joe" Reedy and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Joe Reedy as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
