SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Frank "Frankie" Grom Jr., who passed away on May 31, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Frankie Grom was born to Frank Sr. and Germaine on September 13, 1949; he graduated from Warren Township High School in 1967; and

WHEREAS, Frankie Grom worked for a number of companies in the food service industry and for the Foss Park Golf Course; and

WHEREAS, Frankie Grom was a retired member of The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union; he was a past member of the Lake County Bowling Association Board of Directors and a convention delegate in the 1970s and 1980s; he was a member of the K.S.K.J. Catholic Union; he was involved in many golf and bowling leagues and was a Cubs and Bears fan; and

WHEREAS, Frankie Grom was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Frankie Grom is survived by his brother, Thomas (Linda); his sisters, Linda Willcox and Carol (Steve) Fisher; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Frank "Frankie" Grom Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frankie Grom as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
