SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Doyle, who passed away on August 24, 2019 at the age of 92; and

WHEREAS, John Doyle was born on February 21, 1927 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, John Doyle was a U.S. Navy veteran and served in World War II; he then went to work for the T.H. Ryan Cartage Company until he retired in 1990; and

WHEREAS, John Doyle was the loving husband of the late Ellen H. Doyle and the loving companion of the late Dorothy Deaton; and

WHEREAS, John Doyle was the father of Brian, Tom (Liz Clary), the late Steven (Ampa), Michael, Terrence, and John; the grandfather of Jason Doyle, Conor (Sara Kane), Liam (Jodi), Kiel, and Rory (Alexsandra) Doyle; and the great-grandfather of six; and

WHEREAS, John Doyle was the brother of Dennis (the late Florence) Doyle, Margaret (Maurice) Andaya, Rosemary (Dennis) Dresen, the late Donald (the late Marilyn) Doyle, Gerald (the late Helen) Doyle, and Dolores (the late Robert) Padula; and

WHEREAS, John Doyle is survived by his children; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; and his siblings; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Doyle and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Doyle as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
