HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives are pleased to honor the City of Northlake Police Department on earning accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA); and

WHEREAS, This State is deeply indebted to the brave men and women who put their lives on the line each day to protect their fellow citizens; the hard work and dedication of law enforcement officers help the citizens of Illinois to live in safety; and

WHEREAS, By receiving accreditation from CALEA, the City of Northlake Police Department has been designated as an agency dedicated to excellence; it shows a continued commitment to maintaining the highest standards and best practices in law enforcement; and

WHEREAS, Formal presentation of the Northlake Police Department for recognition to the full Commission will occur at an awards banquet on Saturday, March 19, 2005; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the City of Northlake Police Department on earning accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the City of Northlake Police Department as an expression of our respect and esteem.
