| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Robert |
| 4 |
| Tierney of Chicago; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Tierney was born on August 6, 1946 on the |
| 6 |
| Southside of Chicago in Visitation Parish; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, He attended Visitation Grammar School and Gordon |
| 8 |
| Tech High School; upon graduation from high school, he attended |
| 9 |
| the Illinois Teachers College and graduated from Chicago State |
| 10 |
| University; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Tierney taught mechanical drawing and |
| 12 |
| woodshop with the Chicago public schools; he was the President |
| 13 |
| and founder of the legislative consulting firm of Tierney, |
| 14 |
| Duffy, Tierney, Ltd.; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Tierney was proud to be a resident of |
| 16 |
| Chicago and delighted in the World Series victory of his |
| 17 |
| beloved Chicago White Sox; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Robert Tierney will be remembered as a loving and |
| 19 |
| kind father to Kathy, Peggy, and Kevin; a beloved son; a loyal |
| 20 |
| brother; and a good, generous, and loyal friend; therefore, be |
| 21 |
| it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 23 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 24 |
| we mourn the passing of Robert Tierney, and we extend our |
| 25 |
| deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and all who knew and |
| 26 |
| loved him; and be it further
|

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
