HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, Scott Krapf, a senior at Danville's Schlarman High
3 School, has been named Cross Country Runner of the Year by the
4 News-Gazette; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mr. Krapf placed eighth in the IHSA Class A Boys
6 Cross Country State Meet at Detweiller Park in Peoria on
7 November 5, 2005; he is a two-time News-Gazette Cross Country
8 Runner of the Year; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Scott Krapf had an impressive senior season; he
10 won 12 of 15 races, including the conference and regional,
11 finished second at sectional, and ran a personal-best 15
12 minutes, 11 seconds at state; and
 
13     WHEREAS, He not only excels in athletics, but academics as
14 well; he has a 4.14 GPA on a 4.0 scale and is in line for
15 valedictorian honors; he is a role model for other students
16 because of his grades, medals, and his willingness to assist
17 his teachers; he has plans to study sports management in
18 college; and
 
19     WHEREAS, He is a sports nut, playing just about anything;
20 he played varsity soccer along with cross country for three
21 years; he has family ties to pro sports - his mother's uncle,
22 Zeke Bratkowski, was a Schlarman great who played in the NFL;
23 therefore, be it
 
24     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
25 NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
26 we congratulate Scott Krapf on being named Cross Country Runner
27 of the Year by the News-Gazette and commend him on his
28 outstanding athletic and academic achievements; and be it
29 further

1     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
2 presented to Scott Krapf as an expression of our sincere best
3 wishes for his success and happiness in the years to come.
