SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Janet M. Pratt of Park City, who passed
4away on December 31, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janet Pratt was born on September 12, 1927, in
6Waukegan; her family were early settlers of the Meehan
7settlement of Lake County who settled in the Highland Park and
8Lake Forest areas; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Janet Pratt retired from Fansteel Corp. in 1972
10after 10 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Janet Pratt enjoyed refinishing furniture,
12playing cards, listening to music, dancing, cooking, and being
13on the computer; she was a big Chicago Cubs and Bears fan; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Janet Pratt was preceded in death by her husband,
15Robert; her son, Robert Jr., and her sister, Marilyn Worseck;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Janet Pratt is survived by her children, Barbara
18Opitz, William (Lorrie) Pratt, David (Penny) Pratt, and Stacy
19(Lynn) Rinker; her 14 grandchildren; her 14
20great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandchild;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Janet Pratt, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Janet Pratt as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
