SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J. "Bob" Rymsza, Sr. of Joliet, who passed away on December 7, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Robert Rymsza, Sr. graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1966; he served in the United States Army Reserve from 1969 to 1972 and was honorably discharged; and

WHEREAS, Robert Rymsza, Sr. retired in April of 2013 from the Dr Pepper Snapple Group after 40 years of service as a transportation driver, having driven over 3,900,000 miles; and

WHEREAS, Robert Rymsza, Sr. was a member of The American Legion, Joliet Harwood Post #5; he enjoyed playing euchre, spending weekends at the Wilmington Recreation Club, camping and fishing with his family, and taking fishing trips to Lake Erie; he won numerous fishing contests; and

WHEREAS, Robert Rymsza, Sr. was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. Rymsza, and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Theodore and Lillian (nee Valek) Juricic; and

WHEREAS, Robert Rymsza, Sr. is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda (nee Juricic); his children, Amanda (Erik) Brown, Stephanie (Michael Schronski) Rymsza, and Robert Rymsza, Jr.; his mother, Evelyn Rymsza (nee Birmingham); his sister, Judy (Paul) Svendsen; his brother-in-law, Larry (Valerie) Juricic; his sisters-in-law, Debbie (Larry) Magolan and Donna (Ray) Randich; and his nieces and nephews, Troy, Taylor, and Tara Price, Luke Juricic, Ben and Jessica Magolan, Zak, Lauren, and Daniel Randich, Jan (Jeff) Bain, Greg Svendsen, Trish (Kevin) Feeney, and Ginny (Mike) Kempf; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of Robert J. "Bob" Rymsza, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Rymsza, Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
