SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edward Hallinan of Chicago, who passed away on November 8, 2007; and

WHEREAS, He was born on May 23, 1934 and was from County Mayo in Ireland; and

WHEREAS, He was an employee of Peoples' Energy for thirty-four years; and

WHEREAS, He was known as a strong advocate of labor; and

WHEREAS, Edward Hallinan was the beloved husband of Sharon, nee Cobb; the loving father of Lynn (John) Kriho, Monica (Robert) Pletan, and Shawn (Sheila) Hallinan of the Chicago Police Department; and he was the dear grandfather of Shaina, Kyle, Kayla, Ryan, Erin, and Colin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Edward Hallinan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward Hallinan as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
