SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Carl Felix Saale of Alton, who passed
4 away on April 16, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Carl Saale was born on February 25, 1931 in West
6 Alton, Missouri; his parents were the late Felix C. and
7 Wilhelmina (Donze) Saale; he married the former Patricia A.
8 Astroth at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton on October 9,
9 1954; and
 
10     WHEREAS, Carl Saale was a member of the Marquette High
11 School Class of 1950 and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton;
12 he attended the White House Retreat for more than 25 years; and
 
13     WHEREAS, Carl Saale retired in 1987 as an owner of Saale
14 Bros. Appliance and Building Material Company; since his
15 retirement, he had served as the volunteer director of St.
16 Joseph Cemetery in Alton; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Carl Saale is survived by his wife; his children
18 and their spouses, Barbara and Jeffrey Mourlam, Dr. Thomas and
19 Cheryl Saale, Dr. Daniel and Laura Saale, Ronald and Karen
20 Saale, Dr. Mary B. Saale and her husband, William Croxton, and
21 Stephen and Jane Saale; his grandchildren, Ann, Mark, Tim, and

1 Nick Mourlam, Mike, Patrick, and Jenna Saale, Taylor and Grant
2 Saale, Jonathan, Meagan, and Kristen Saale, Brent, Robert,
3 Claire, and Eileen Croxton, Phillip and Melissa Saale, and
4 Haley, Logan, and Taylor Jansen; his brother and his wife,
5 Norman and Norma Saale; and his sister, Ruth Guntren;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 his family and friends, the passing of Carl Saale; and be it
10 further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Carl Saale as an expression of our
13 sympathy.
