SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Catherine J. Coughlin of Belleville, who passed away on September 4, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Catherine Coughlin was born on January 21, 1947 in East St. Louis; and

WHEREAS, Catherine Coughlin was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and was very active at Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Althoff High School; and

WHEREAS, Catherine Coughlin was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph H. and Frances H., nee Haberl, Leveling; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph (Nancy) Leveling; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Tom) Moll; and

WHEREAS, Catherine Coughlin is survived by her husband, George B. Coughlin; her children, Craig (Dana) Coughlin, Cass (Carmen) Coughlin, and Shawn Coughlin; her brothers, James (Peggy) Leveling, Ray (Carolyn) Leveling, John (Joan) Leveling, and Norman (Rita) Leveling; her sister, Carol Ann (Duane) McClanahan; her grandchildren, Jessica Coughlin, Wyatt Coughlin, and Grace Coughlin; and her dear nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Catherine J. Coughlin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Catherine Coughlin as an expression of our sympathy.
