SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Arthur D. Wilson of Minonk, who passed
4away on February 16, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Arthur Wilson was born on April 23, 1933 in
6Whitham, Missouri; his parents were John H. and Cynthia Craig
7Wilson; he married Dorothy Cordray on December 12, 1951 in
8Marceline; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Arthur Wilson was a graduate of Marceline High
10School; he was employed at Caterpillar in East Peoria for over
1140 years until his retirement in 1992; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Arthur Wilson was a member of the United Methodist
13Church of Minonk; he enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals,
14gardening, fishing, watching westerns, golfing, and spending
15time with his family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Arthur Wilson was preceded in death by his parents
17and 3 brothers; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Arthur Wilson is survived by his wife, Dorothy; 5
19children, Sherri (Dave) Stokowski, Randy Wilson, Jani Wilson,
20Steve (Kelly) Wilson, and Danny Wilson; 9 grandchildren, Marisa

7and Scarlet Hill, Noah, Jack, and Quinn Stokowski, Drake and
8Cynthia Helfers, and Jaxon and Mason Pettit; and a
9step-great-grandchild, Sophia Fillipponi; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Arthur D. Wilson; and
13be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Arthur Wilson as an expression of
16our sympathy.
