SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Officer Frank Nye, who passed away on December 22, 1898; and

WHEREAS, Officer Nye was employed by the Cook County Sheriff's Department, where he served faithfully; and

WHEREAS, Officer Nye dedicated and gave his life to protecting and serving the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Officer Frank Nye; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Officer Frank Nye as an expression of our sympathy.
