SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Officer Jeremy John Hubbard, who passed away on August 10, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard was born on October 8, 1975; he was active in his community as a volunteer baseball coach; and

WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard was employed by the Cowden Police Department and the Effingham County Sheriff's Department; he also volunteered for K-9 search and rescue; and

WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard leaves behind his wife, his 2 sons, his mother, and his sister; and

WHEREAS, Officer Hubbard dedicated and gave his life to protecting and serving the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Officer Jeremy Hubbard; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Officer Jeremy Hubbard as an expression of our sympathy.
