| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas P. Meyers, Sr. of Aurora, who | | 4 | | passed away on June 9, 2011; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born September 13, 1932 in Aurora, the son | | 6 | | of the late Otto and Cora (Bagley) Meyers; and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, He retired as Vice President from Old Second Bank | | 8 | | after more than 30 years of service; he also served on many | | 9 | | community and government boards; and
| | 10 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, | | 11 | | Jeffrey; his brother, Fred; and his father-in-law and | | 12 | | mother-in-law, Jessie and Carl Schomer; and
| | 13 | | WHEREAS, Thomas P. Meyers, Sr. is survived by his loving | | 14 | | wife of 55 years, Geraldine "Geri" (nee Schomer); his sons, | | 15 | | Gregory (Lisa), Daniel, and Thomas, Jr. (Sheryl); his | | 16 | | daughter-in-law, Laurie; and his grandchildren, Christopher, | | 17 | | Thomas III, Matthew, Alyssa, Emily, Joseph, Mark, and Anna; | | 18 | | therefore, be it
