SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George E. Hull of Waukegan, who passed away on September 25, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was born May 9, 1926 in Bensonville; he was a veteran of World War II serving with the Navy in the South Pacific; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of the Corvette Club, enjoyed playing golf at Bonnie Brook Golf Course, working on cars and working in his yard; and

WHEREAS, He was a firefighter at Great Lakes for 5 years and retired from the Waukegan Fire Department as a Captain after 22 years of service; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Ella Hull; his sister, Beatrice (Wally) Zuhda; his infant daughter, Jody; and 2 infant grandsons, William and Wayne Grogan; and

WHEREAS, George Hull is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna (nee Wedekind); his daughter, Denise (Gary) Grogan; his sons, Jeffrey and Kurt (Karen) Hull; his granddaughters, Kalina and Kristi Hull; his grandsons, Gary (Jini) Grogan and Tim (Shirley) Grogan; as well as 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of George Hull; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Hull as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
