SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert B. Barnes of Wadsworth, who passed away on July 11, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He served 61 years as a proud member of Teamsters Local 301, most of that time as a principal officer; and

WHEREAS, Robert Barnes was the beloved husband of Mary; the loving father of Robbie "Pat" (Robert) Baumgartner, James "Ronnie" (Betty) Barnes, and Nancy (John) Brittan; the proud grandfather of Timothy, David, Jamie, Shannon, Todd, Tony, Chad, and the late Cyndi; the step-grandfather of Rob and Heidi; the great-grandfather of 12; the step great-grandfather of 4; and the great-great-grandfather of 2; he was the brother of Pearl Zudhe, and the late Bruce, Willis, Woody, Paul, Ralph, Mary, Ruth, Clarence, and Bessie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Barnes; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Barnes as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
