SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Vincent G. Volpe of Aurora, who passed away on November 7, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was born September 4, 1938 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, He was the driving force in planning the future of the Aurora Sportsman Club; and

WHEREAS, He was known for his smile and sense of humor; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Paul Volpe; and

WHEREAS, Vincent Volpe is survived by his wife, Geraldine Volpe; his children, Deborah Volpe, Vincent Paul Volpe, and Karen Volpe; his brother, John (Barb) Volpe; his sisters, Joy Adams and Rosemary (Gary) Jones; his brother-in-law, Tony Stasney; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Vincent Volpe; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Vincent Volpe as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
