SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Fred Martin of Waukegan, who passed away on May 5, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Fred Martin was born on July 22, 1946, in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Fred Martin was a member of the United States Marines during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Fred Martin was employed at International Harvester for over 25 years and drove a semi-truck for 10 years; he enjoyed driving immensely, with his last job being with Hribar Logistics; and

WHEREAS, Fred Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Evelyn (Micky) Martin; his sister, Barb Collins; and his brother, Glen Martin; and

WHEREAS, Fred Martin is survived by his wife of 42 years, Tina; his sons, Andy Martin and Freddy (Dawn) Martin; his grandsons, Garrett and David; those who cherish him in memory, Jerry (Betty) Martin, Judy (Marv) Nunley, Carol (John) Wensch, Janet (Joe) Duncan, Roy Martin, and Dan (Debbie) Fielder; his many nieces and nephews; and his special caregiver, Denise DeVoe; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Fred Martin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fred Martin as an expression of our sympathy.
