SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Androniki "Niki" Markadonis, who passed away on July 28, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Androniki Markadonis was born on September 20, 1911, in Milos, Greece; and

WHEREAS, Androniki Markadonis was preceded in death by her loving husband, John; her daughter-in-law, Barbara; and her 17 siblings; and

WHEREAS, Androniki Markadonis is survived by her sons, George (Aleta), Evangelos (Donna), and Noarchos (Barbara); her grandchildren, John (Morgan), Methon, Dionysos (Michelle), Andronicka (John Leavitt), Danae (Chad Hershman), Zachariah (Amanda), Benjamin (Crystal), and Torey Ewen; her great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Bishop, Molly, Macy, Bailey, Ronnie, Aric, Brock, Micah, and Liam; her many nieces, nephews, and friends; and her ex-grandson-in-law, Ryan McHugh; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Androniki "Niki" Markadonis; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Androniki Markadonis as an expression of our sympathy.
