SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond L. Contratto of Bethalto, who passed away on January 2, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Contratto was born on July 11, 1931 in Carlinville to Matt Contratto and Frances (nee Wassell) Contratto; he served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict; he married Doris J. Long on May 21, 1960; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Contratto was a retired real estate broker; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Contratto was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Contratto is survived by his wife, Doris; his sons, James (Cathy) Contratto and Joe (Melanie) Contratto; and his grandchildren, Anthony Contratto, Jessica Contratto, and Brittany Contratto; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Raymond L. Contratto, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Contratto as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
