SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia J. Nebgen, who passed away on January 31, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nebgen was born in 1932 to John and Kathryn (nee Smith) Jeffers; she graduated from St. Scholastica Academy in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nebgen retired as the Village Clerk of Island Lake; she was a charter member of the Island Lake Area Lioness Club and a member of the Island Lake Women's Club; and

WHEREAS, Affectionately known as "Patty-Poo", Patricia Nebgen enjoyed sewing, traveling, reading murder mysteries, and attending a good party; she was a longtime parishioner of Transfiguration Catholic Church in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nebgen was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Robert; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Nebgen is survived by her children, Gregg (Kathy), Cressly (Rick), Michael (Jean), Mark, Jennifer (Tom), Adam (Carrie), and Sara (Tom); her grandchildren; and her siblings, Nancy (Len), Judy (Gene), John (Joanne), and Michael (Linda); therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Patricia J. Nebgen, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Nebgen as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
