SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael A. Freund of McHenry, who passed away on June 12, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Michael Freund was born on September 24, 1958 in Waukegan; his parents were Alan Freund and Frances (nee Blake) Freund; and

WHEREAS, Michael Freund enjoyed spending time in his yard, hosting gatherings at his home, and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Michael Freund was preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents, George and Christina (Justen) Blake and Gus and Agnes (Steffes) Freund; and his faithful companion, Bear; and

WHEREAS, Michael Freund is survived by his wife, Doreen (Rosing) Freund; his father, Alan; his step-mother, Janice (Cady) Freund; 2 brothers, Jeffrey Freund and Scott (Lisa) Freund; a step-brother, Bill Schramm; a step-sister, Laura Schramm; 3 step-sons, Jason (Melissa) Lauer, Justin (Estea) Lauer, and Kyle Sytsma; a granddaughter, Carley Lauer; 2 uncles, Eugene and John Blake; 4 aunts, Georgia (Harry) Hogan, Carol (Dave) Zank, Cindy Freund, and Ruth Ouimette; and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael A. Freund; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Freund as an expression of our sympathy.
