SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Walter "Wally" T. Koziol, who passed away on February 7, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Wally Koziol was born to John and Catherine (Bodame) Koziol on March 10, 1938; he married his high school sweetheart, Frances Tomkowicz, and they celebrated 58 years of marriage; and

WHEREAS, Wally Koziol worked at Johnson Motors for 36 years; he later worked at the Lake Forest High School teacher's cafeteria; and

WHEREAS, Wally Koziol enjoyed cooking at the Knights of Columbus, where he was a Third Degree Member; he was a people person and an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs; he enjoyed traveling and parties; his greatest joy was his family; and

WHEREAS, Wally Koziol was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John; and

WHEREAS, Wally Koziol is survived by his children, Richard (Mari) and Bruce (Karen); his sister-in-law, Sally; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, John and Pat; his granddaughters, Charleen and Kayleen; his six great-grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Walter "Wally" T. Koziol and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wally Koziol as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
